«Pinacotèque Kouvoutsakis» is a non-profit, public welfare institution founded in 1995 by Panayotis N. Kouvoutsakis for the purpose of promoting and propagating fine art with emphasis on Greek figurative painting and sculpture. It functions as a local cultural and exhibition centre in a privately owned building erected by its founder on the corner of Levidis and Papadiamantis Street in the centre of Kifissia. The permanent collection of artworks covers an area of approximately 2,000 sq. m., subject to standard museum requirements. Maintenance costs are wholly covered by donations from its founder, without financial help from municipal, government, European community or other sources. Admittance for the public is free. The premises are available gratis for cultural events and educational conducted tours. |
